The Chair of the MAC for LHSC and St. Joseph's is appointed by the Board of Directors from the Chiefs of the medical departments after considering the recommendation of the MAC. The Chair of the MAC is appointed for a two-year term and has an expanded role as Director, Quality of Medical Care.
The membership of the SJHC and LHSC MACs vary slightly. Each MAC has the following voting members:

Medical Director, Long-term Care (SJHC)
