Recruiting and Orienting new professional staff is very important to us. It is our intent to ensure you have the information and training you need to make a successful and efficient transition into your new role.
Our orientation activities are fully supported by Medical Affairs and others.
Here are some of our orientation activities: New Professional Staff Orientation Breakfast - this orientation is scheduled four times a year to provide new professional staff with pertinent information on the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), Professional Staff Organization (PSO), Lawson Health Research Institute, and Medical Affairs.

New Professional Staff Development Series - The Professional Staff Development Series was developed to provide information, support and assistance to newly hired Professional Staff so they can be aware of, and understand the structures, policies and procedures that will help them make a successful transition to LHSC and St. Joseph’s. PowerChart/Message Centre/Centricity Training - This course will focus on what you will need to know about PowerChart and Message Centre at LHSC and St. Joseph's.
