Acting Chief Appointments
City-Wide Medical Affairs would like to announce the following Acting Chief appointments which came into effect July 1, 2010. The Acting appointments allow for the continued recruitment of permanent City-Wide Chiefs of the clinical departments listed below:
Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Dr. Renato Natale and Dr. Barry MacMillan will together fulfill the role of Acting City-Wide Chief of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Dr. Bryan Richardson will fulfill the role of Acting Chair. City-Wide Medical Affairs thanks Dr. Stephen Power for his leadership as Co-Chief of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Diagnostic Radiology
Dr. Witek Zaleski, Dr. Ian Ross and Dr. Walter Romano will together fulfill the role of Acting City-Wide Chief of Diagnostic Radiology. City-Wide Medical Affairs thanks Dr. Richard Rankin and Dr. Donald Taves for their leadership as Co-Chiefs of Diagnostic Radiology.
Nuclear Medicine
Dr. Jonathan Romsa and Dr. Irina Rachinsky will together continue to fulfill the role of Acting City-Wide Chief of Nuclear Medicine. City-Wide Medical Affairs thanks Dr. Larry Nicholson for his leadership as Acting Co-Chief of Nuclear Medicine.
In addition, the Chief Selection Committee and City-Wide Medical Affairs would like to thank the above-noted individuals for their continued commitment and service to their Departments, and London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care, London.
New Chair-Chief of Oncology
City-Wide Medical Affairs would like to announce Dr. Glenn Bauman as the new City-Wide Chair-Chief of the Department of Oncology effective July 1, 2010 for a five year term ending June 30, 2015. City-Wide Medical Affairs would also like to thank Dr. Brian Dingle for his leadership as Chief of Oncology over the last five years.
2010-11 St. Joseph's Professional Staff Organization Executive
City-Wide Medical Affairs would like to announce the elected members to the St. Joseph's Executive for 2010-11 as follows: Dr. Adam Dukelow, President; Dr. Ian McConachie, Vice-President; and the position of Secretary remains vacant. St. Joseph's Professional Staff Organization Recognition Award
Dr. Bertha Garcia has been awarded the 2010 St. Joseph's Professional Staff Organization (PSO) Recognition and Reward Award.
