February 20, 2002 - All inpatient Rehabilitation services for London will move to Parkwood Hospital between February 22-27, 2002. This includes the inpatient rehabilitation programs from London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), University Campus, and St. Joseph's Health Care (SJHC), Mount Hope site. The inpatient program moves also include the outpatient clinics from LHSC, University Campus.

The remaining outpatient Rehabilitation services will consolidate in June 2002, with the LHSC Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program (CORP) moving in summer 2002. The outpatient program moves include the outpatient clinics at SJHC, Mount Hope site.

These program transfers combine the rehabilitation resources at three sites to create a Rehabilitation Institute at Parkwood, offering Rehabilitation services that include: Geriatric Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Stroke, Amputee, Spinal Cord Injury, and Acquired Brain Injury programs.

The Rehabilitation consolidation will bring together the expertise and talent of rehabilitation professionals in the city and will maximize ease of access for patients.

LHSC and Mount Hope Rehabilitation staff are moving to Parkwood with the program.
